Restaurants Offering Free Meals and Discounts for Veterans
America celebrates Veterans Day on Sunday, November 11th this year, and many restaurants are offering discounts and free meals to veterans and active duty military to thank them for their service.
Over the last several years, the number of restaurants offering free meals for our military men and women has increased dramatically, as has the number served. Last year, Golden Corral served over 375,000 veterans and active duty military, while raising over one million dollars for the Disabled American Veterans. Applebee’s expects to serve over one million Thank You Meals this year.
Some highlights of this years restaurant offerings:
On Sunday, November 11th, Applebee’s is offering a Free Signature Entree. Entrees include Three-Cheese Chicken Penne, 7 oz. House Sirloin, Chicken Tenders Platter, Fiesta Lime Chicken, Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger, Oriental Chicken Salad, or Double Crunch Shrimp.
Outback Steakhouse is offering a Free Bloomin’ Onion and Coca-Cola beverage on Sunday, November 11th and Monday, November 12th.
Participating Arby’s locations in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois and Colorado (Colorado Springs and Pueblo) are offering one Free Roast Beef Classic Sandwich on Monday, November 11th.
Also on Monday, Denny’s is offering All You Can Eat Pancakes (beverage not included) between 6 am and 2 pm.
RestaurantNews.com, a leading restaurant news site, has rounded up a huge list of these offerings. This year, almost 50 chains offering discounts and free meals make up the list, which is growing daily.
Keep in mind, most military appreciation offers require proof of military service, are dine-in only, do not include alcohol, can not be used with other coupons or discounts, and do not include gratuity. Also, for some chains, participating locations may vary. Check with your local restaurant for further details.
