Microsoft Announces Office 365 Beta Release

On Tuesday, Microsoft introduced Microsoft Office 365.  The latest version of the popular software suite is Microsoft’s version of next generation cloud technology.  The software brings together a number of Microsoft Office productivity tools within the cloud system.  Office 365 will allow users to collaborate with other users from anywhere, on nearly any device.  The company says the software is a perfect place for small businesses to access the power offered by expensive enterprise solutions at a fraction of the cost.

The goal of the software is to bring a simple and secure way for organizations to work efficiently from inside or outside of the organization.  The company announced that it was releasing the beta version of the software in 13 different countries and regions.

The software is expected to come in versions for small business and for enterprise solutions.  Enterprise users will be able to use the Microsoft Office Professional Plus software on a pay as they go basis, marking the first time Microsoft has implemented such a service.

The new cloud business solution packages were created from years of work perfecting the software and technologies through collaboration with customers and delivering solutions to their business, organization, and productivity needs.

Office 365 is scheduled for worldwide release next year.  On Tuesday, Microsoft began testing Office 365 in more than a thousand organizations with the beta application.  The company will continue to expand the beta to incorporate more organizations into the testing process.
