McFly and Brown Return For New Back to the Future Game

Back to the Future is coming back to the present as it celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the Academy Award-winning franchise.  On October 26, the Blu-ray DVD of the trilogy will be released.   The franchise, which generated nearly $1-billion in worldwide box office sales, will also be commemorated by a new game series over the winter.  The first installment of the game, developed by Telltale Games, will be released shortly after the Blu-ray release of the trilogy.

The game will feature likenesses of the stars of the Back to the Future franchise, with Christopher Lloyd providing the voice for Doc Brown for the entire series of the game.  Telltale plans to release an episode of the game each month for five months.  The game was even able to bring co-creator and writer Bob Gale on as a consultant for the games duration.  Telltale CEO Dan Connors said that the ability to use the likeness of the characters, the voice of Lloyd, and the creative vision of Gale are all essential parts making the game as true to the characters and storyline of the original movie as possible.

The game will also feature the DeLorean Time Machine, which will make an appearance at the 2010 Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle September 3 through 5.  While at the popular gaming event, fans will be able to take pictures with the authentic replica of the iconic car.
