Madame Tussauds Opens New Washington D.C. Presidents Gallery

The world famous wax figure museum, Madame Tussauds, has recently opened its doors on the U.S. Presidents Gallery in Washington D.C. after a year of planning and preparation. The museum will be a historical tribute to America and its Presidents in a three dimensional wax figure form. The over $2 million dollar Gallery will feature all 44 of the past commanders in chief and allow visitors to interact with them.

The new Presidents Gallery will be a permanent part of the museum and join many other historical, sports and Hollywood icons. The Gallery is designed to be an interactive, exciting and educational environment. The Gallery consists of 14 themed rooms in order to provide guests with the opportunity to learn about United States history through the lives of its Presidents.

The rooms in the gallery feature some of the most important historical events in American history. There are Civil War and Founding Fathers rooms as well as Lunar Landing and World War II rooms. Guests will be entertained as well as educated in an interactive program. Cross the Delaware River in a boat with George Washington or sit along side Franklin D. Roosevelt during a fireside chat. Stand with Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong during a television transmission on the surface of the moon.

The Presidents Gallery represents a valuable educational resource for American history and they also have a curriculum available to educators that focuses on U.S. Presidential history.
