House of Blues Taps Into World’s Greatest ’80s Experience for Shows in Multiple Venues
It’s everything you ever loved about the ‘80s, packed into one legendary show hell-bent on taking you back in time.
The only thing missing is the DeLorean.
Quintessential rock group The Molly Ringwalds have crossed the pond from their hometown of Sheffield, England, to showcase the timeless essence of the most radical generation, right down to the big hair, parachute pants and blue eye shadow.
The band’s House of Blues circuit began last week in Dallas, and the excellent adventure continues with stops at the Orlando, Houston and Hollywood HOB venues through September.
The Molly Ringwalds are touring in support of their second official studio album, entitled “Glitterdome.” The CD, which features hits like “Jukebox Hero,” “Space Age Love Song” and “West End Girls,” can be found on iTunes and will be available for purchase during and after the concert.
The House of Blues shows anchor the second half of the group’s tour of the Southern United States, following their performances at the 56th Annual German-American Volksfest at Camp Kasserine in Grafenwoehr, Germany. The band headlined all three nights of the festival, which attracted more than 100,000 spectators.
From Quiet Riot and Flock of Seagulls to the Pet Shop Boys, Prince and just about every other 80s staple you can imagine, “The Mollys” bring back the iconic hits that defined a decade. The group has earned accolades across the continent, including “Best Rock Band” honors in cities like New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Pensacola, Mobile and Jackson, Mississippi.
The Molly Ringwalds’ one-of-a-kind lineup consists of:
- Sir Devon Nooner – Lead vocals, guitar, synthesizer
- Platinum Randi Wilde – Lead guitar, vocals
- Dickie English – Synthesizers, vocals
- Sir Liam Thunders – Drums, vocals
- Lord Philip Wang – Bass guitar, vocals
Known for their uncanny recreations and downright unhealthy affinity for ‘80s super nostalgia, these five exceptional musicians are more than just some handsome Brits who know how to rock. They are talented artists, crowd-pleasing entertainers and world-class performers comfortable on any stage.
“To read the reviews or check out our videos isn’t enough – you blokes just gotta come out and see us for yourself,” Nooner said. “The best word I’d use to describe us is ‘fun.’ We’re all about having a good time and just knockin’ about with anyone who loves the greatest decade of our lifetime as much as we do!”
