Fast Food Restaurants Survey Results Revealed by Consumer Reports
A recent survey by Consumer Reports reveals that McDonald’s slogan, “Lovin It” doesn’t ring true with customers. The survey asked over 35,000 subscribers who made close to 100,000 visits to over 53 different fast food chains exactly what they thought of the food and service that they were receiving. The results speak for themselves. Consumers want better food, better service, and a better dining experience. Fast food giants Burger King, Quiznos, Arby’s, Taco Bell, and KFC were also some of the lowest ranked places to get a quick bite to eat. Fast food pizza giants, Pizza Hut and Domino’s ranked low as well.
People are getting tired of the same old thing. They want something fresh, new and exciting! The supposed “Super Sized Value Meals” are over stuffed with flashy marketing, but they come up short on actual value and quality. People want the most that they can get for their hard earned dollar.
53% of Consumer Reports subscribers say that low prices are the number one reason for choosing their meals. In today’s hard economic times lower prices are pleasing to consumers. The dollar is being stretched as far as it can go, even when it comes to fast food choices.
Not all restaurants left a bad taste in the mouths of consumers. Burger lovers spoke very highly of In-N-Out Burger and Chipotle Mexican Grill lead the pack of fast Mexican restaurants. For chicken lovers there was only one real choice, Chick-fil-A. If sandwiches are your thing, then you will be glad to know that Firehouse Subs, and Jason’s Deli were the top choices.
Consumers have spoken, and it is nothing new. They want better food, better quality, and better service. Now it is up to restaurants to put an ear to the ground, listen, take notes, and deliver what people want.
