Early Christmas for Electronic Market, IBM Says

IBM, the world’s largest technology company, has forecasted that Christmas will come early this year for the electronic market. The company has said that shoppers are most likely going to start their electronic shopping well ahead of the normal starting mark, setting the stage for better showing in the market for retailers.

While the shopping seasons have been improving for retailers around the country, most are still reporting lackluster sales. However, IBM believes that the rash of new products that have been introduced this year coupled with the economic recovery will be enough to boost sales significantly for the coming season.

Under normal circumstances, the holiday shopping season would begin in late November, after the Thanksgiving holiday. IBM believes that holiday shopping for the electronics sector could begin in early November and continue well into December.

New technology offerings are also rumored to do well this season. Several companies have released new products to the waiting public but the sales have been sagging. With the coming holiday season many people have been putting off such purchases until they are ready to shop for loved ones.

IBM has said that those companies that stock up for the November shopping season are more likely to do well in the market. The last minute push to get the best deals ending with Black Friday is said to be the best part of the season for all retailers, including those in the electronics and tech worlds.
