The holiday shopping season has exploded as consumers take to the web and traditional brick-and-mortar stores in search of the hottest deals of 2012.  Online sales were up 17.4 percent on Thanksgiving and up 20.7 percent on Black Friday, according to IBM research.

These numbers represent a strong indication of what lies ahead for retailers as shoppers whip out their wallets, and with Cyber Monday now upon us, online deals and bargains are ramping up.

Amazon is kicking off their Cyber Monday deals at midnight on Sunday.  Discounts include select headphones at up to 70 percent off, Panasonic VIERA 55-inch televisions at 60 percent off, Nikon COOLPIX S9200 digital cameras at 50 percent off, and Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LX7 digital cameras at 40 percent off.  Other deals include Samsung 40-inch 3D Slim LED HDTV’s for $747.99, JBL six piece Home Theater Speaker Systems at $349.99, Dell Inspirion 15.6 inch laptops $399.99.

Amazon is also offering sweaters and fleece for all at up to 60 percent off, Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaners at $299, diamond stud earrings starting at $39.99, Skybar wine sets at $63.99, Sunbeam MixMaster Stand Mixers at $49.97 and much more.

Kmart Cyber Monday online only deals run from midnight Sunday through Tuesday.  Deals include 19-inch LED Proscan TV/DVD sets at $119.99, Sofia Vergara or Jaclyn Smith comforter sets for $49.99, Pulse Charger electric scooters at 40 percent off, and diamond earrings at 75 percent off.

Kohl’s has already jumped into Cyber Monday with over 300 online only specials.  Polaroid ultra think digital video cameras are $169.99, LeapFrog Leapster GS bonus packs at $89.99, various kitchen electrics for $34.99, KitchenAid or Rachael Ray cookware sets for $129.99, Apt. 9 cashmere sweaters at $37.99 and Madison Park 7 piece queen size comforter sets are only $99.99.

Macy’s kicks off Cyber Monday at 7 a.m. Sunday morning with buy one get one free on select women’s sweaters, buy one get one free on select women’s boots, half-off select handbags, up to 70 percent off select comforters, white gold diamond stud earrings for $169, men’s Victorinox Swiss Army watches for $199 and J.A. Henckels knife sets for $69.99.

Sears Cyber Monday deals also run from midnight Sunday through Tuesday, and include: $400 off NordicTrack ellipticals, Maytag washer and dryers at $399.99, Kenmore Elite 5 quart stand mixers at $169.99 and 50 percent off Craftsman 192 piece Mechanics tool sets.

Walmart has already kicked off its Cyber Week sale.  In electronics, Walmart is offering either 16GB or 32GB Apple iPod Touch from $179, Quantum View 37″ LCD HDTV’s for $219, JVC 32″ HDTV’s for $199, Philips 5.1-Channel DVD Home Theater Systems for $98, TomTom START 50M 5″ Portable GPS from $89 and Double Power TD-1010 10.1″ Dual Core Touchscreen Tablets for $139.
