The 44th Annual CMA Awards will air, live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, on Nov 10th on the ABC Television Network. Country music stars Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley will host the event, which will run from 8-11 pm ET.

The event organizers chose Underwood and Paisley for both their humor and their skills as country musicians. The organizers chose Nashville to host the event because of it’s long history as the home of country music. Billed as “the most important night in country music”, fans from all across the country will tune in to watch their favorite musicians receive awards for the last year’s recordings.

Brad Paisley has received 13 awards from the CMA, starting with the Horizon Award in 2000. He’s received three honors for Best Male Vocalist and one for Best Album in 2006. Three awards have also been awarded to him for Musical Event, and three more for Music Video. With his thirteen awards over 10 years, he is ranked 5th on the list of top award winners from the CMA.

He is a songwriter, singer, and guitarist. His skills have netted him three Grammy Awards over his career of eight albums. Time magazine ranked his 2009 release, American Saturday Night, as the number 1 album in all genres of music for the year. His last single reached number 1 on the charts for 17 weeks.

Carrie Underwood is an equally skilled artist with five CMA Awards to her name. She won best Female Vocalist for three years consecutively, started in 2006.
